International Application for Graduate Studies

We believe that the breadth of our graduate research and our concern for individual needs make the University of Florida a great place to pursue a graduate education. We offer an outstanding graduate program in an environment where you can enjoy a high quality of life. As you may know, Money Magazine has consistently ranked our city as one of the best places to live in the U.S.

We feel that graduate students should be exposed to advanced courses in the core areas of chemical engineering. Hence, we have developed comprehensive graduate-level courses in kinetics, transport phenomena, thermodynamics, applied math, and process control. In addition, since research is a major part of graduate school, we help to accelerate the careers of our students by offering research-level courses and seminars in any area in which students show sufficient interest.

The graduate assistantships we offer pay nationally competitive stipends in addition to a tuition and fees waiver. In addition, several scholarships and fellowships are available. If you would like to apply for financial assistance we ask you to complete an application form and request that three letters of recommendation be completed by faculty able to evaluate your abilities. We usually make decisions on financial aid soon after all application materials have been received.

There are three ways to apply for admission to our department using this web page:

  1. Complete an online application.
  2. Download and print all required application forms from the appropriate web links, then submit the forms via post-office mail.
  3. Request that we send you an application package via post-office mail.

I hope that you will complete an application for admission to our department and that you will take the required Graduate Record Exam (GRE). If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to write us by postal mail or by electronic mail at admissions@che.ufl.edu. If you need to clarify details concerning the application process or to discuss technical details of the academic program, feel free to contact us by electronic mail, by FAX at (352) 392-9513, or call our Graduate Admissions Secretary at (352) 392-4761.

Sincerely,

Dr. Oscar D. Crisalle
Graduate Recruiting Coordinator
